In a recent entry, we took a look at the information available under the “resources” tab at the top of our website. In this post, we turn our attention to the tab just to the left of “resources”—the “conditions we treat” tab.
Peak View Behavioral Health is staffed by a team of highly trained and experienced professionals who approach our work with a spirit of empathy because we are committed to improving the lives of those we serve. Our expertise covers a range of issues and disorders, and our personalized approach to treatment is key to our efforts to help restore balance and hope to those who are struggling.
If you are struggling in any of the ways listed below—or if you love someone who is struggling—we would urge you to seek out proven and effective treatment. When you pursue treatment at Peak View Behavioral Health, you can be confident that you will receive top-notch care in a safe and comfortable environment.
Substance Use Disorders
If someone is struggling with drugs or alcohol, there is a good chance their life is falling apart. That collapse might start slowly, but eventually, everything—relationships, health, finances, and more—will be negatively affected. Seeking out treatment is the best option for putting substances behind you.
Peak View’s treatment plan for substance use disorders includes medically monitored detoxification, intensive outpatient programming for adults, relapse prevention, and discharge planning.
Depression
The word “depression” is often used to describe sadness, but that is not what it means in a mental health context. Instead, depression refers to a number of related disorders often characterized by extended periods of sadness, inability to enjoy things that previously brought pleasure, restlessness or irritability, and more.
Treatment for depression often includes both medication and therapy. The Peak View team is dedicated to creating a treatment plan for your specific needs.

Bipolar Disorder
Bipolar disorder is a type of depression, but it earns its own category because of its signature cycling of moods from extreme highs to extreme lows. A variety of symptoms—including mania and euphoria, major depressive episodes, poor decision making, and more—can add up to a bipolar diagnosis.
Peak View offers treatment for bipolar disorder—personalized to an individual’s situation, history, and immediate needs.

Schizophrenia
When people think about schizophrenia, often they are thinking of negative, sensationalistic representations of the disorder in popular culture. The truth is that schizophrenia is a serious disorder that can be scary for those experiencing it and those around them. This is because the disorder affects the brain in ways that can change how someone thinks, feels, and acts. But schizophrenia can also be treated.
Inpatient care for those who are experiencing severe symptoms of schizophrenia or who might be at risk of harming themselves or others is available at Peak View Behavioral Health. We also develop comprehensive outpatient treatment plans.

Suicidal Thoughts
Thoughts of suicide may arise from a range of underlying conditions, and a significant number of people have these thoughts at some point in their lives. Because of ongoing stigmas, many people do not seek out the help they need to address these very serious moments and emotions.
Our team takes a holistic approach to caring for someone struggling with suicidal thoughts. We address the immediate crisis and offer compassionate care to lessen the likelihood of ongoing troubling thoughts.

Mental Health Treatment
Various kinds of talk therapy can be quite effective when it comes to addressing mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, or panic, and issues grounded in trauma experiences. Group and individual therapy sessions can provide insight, strategies, and support for those seeking to improve their overall mental health.

Dual Diagnosis
This category does not appear on the website menu, but it is nevertheless a key part of Peak View’s services. A dual diagnosis means a person is struggling with a substance use disorder as well as a mental health disorder. The two types of disorders are often entangled with one another, so we offer treatment for both at the same time when it is appropriate.
A treatment plan that is designed to help with both kinds of disorders can have a huge impact on your life as you seek to reclaim and rebuild your life.
