Outpatient Options Abound at Peak View Behavioral Health

Outpatient Options Abound at Peak View Behavioral Health

Just like good physical health, good mental health is a foundational aspect of your overall well-being. That means it is important to seek out treatment if you are experiencing symptoms of a mental health disorder. At Peak View Behavioral Health, in addition to our inpatient programs, we offer a range of outpatient options so that we can provide the personalized treatment each individual needs in a program that works well for them.

Peak View Behavioral Health provides outpatient mental health services for adults and for adolescents. In addition to therapeutic approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, these treatment programs often include a range of experiential therapies including art therapy, yoga, visits from support animals, music therapy, and recreational therapy. The benefits of evidence-based, intensive treatment for mental health are many, and they add up to a better overall quality of life. Let’s take a closer look at the range of outpatient opportunities available at Peak View.

Peak View Ascent Provides Specialized Outpatient Services for Adults

Outpatient treatment is a wonderful option for individuals who need consistent and robust mental health care but who do not require the round-the-clock monitoring that comes with inpatient treatment. The following programs are for people who don’t need residential treatment but who would benefit from a level of care beyond standard talk therapy.

  • Partial Hospitalization Program: Peak View’s approach to partial hospitalization is focused on helping individuals overcome the challenges related to persistent mental health concerns. While the program mimics hospitalization in some ways, it differs in the sense that participants return home each evening. The program includes:
      • Skill building, therapeutic processing, and trauma-informed care
      • Evidence-based modalities (that is, types of therapy)
      • Full-day treatment programming—5 days per week for 6 hours per day
      • Connectivity to community resources
      • Medication management with psychiatric support
  • Intensive Outpatient Program: Participants attend in-person sessions at least three days per week, and each session lasts three hours. This approach provides significant flexibility—both in terms of days of the week and times of days—so that participants can maintain their ongoing responsibilities. The program includes:
      • Half-day treatment programming
      • 3-5 days a week for 3 hours a day with morning, afternoon, and evening options
      • Minimum 9 hours of clinical programming per week
      • Transitional help into productive activities
      • Physician oversight and medication management
      • Education about a person’s condition and how to effectively manage it
  • Momentum: This program is a virtual version of our intensive outpatient program with the added layer of flexibility that comes with participating in the program entirely online. Telehealth is an effective alternative for mental health services, and Peak View’s program utilizes HIPAA-compliant video and communications technology to ensure each participant’s safety and privacy.
    • Family support sessions
    • Assessment related to mental health or psychiatric needs
    • Connectivity to community resources

Instead, let Peak View Behavioral Health provide the level of care you need and deserve when facing down a mental health disorder.
