Our Services
Our mental health program offers clients a wide range of treatment options to fit their level of need and lifestyle. Our inpatient program provides assessment and diagnosis of clients of all ages in crisis situations, followed by inpatient treatment at our facility in Colorado Springs. During inpatient treatment, clients are seen by our psychiatrist-led clinical team who will provide care, support, and medication as necessary. The ultimate goal is moving the client through a series of less intensive treatment levels as their condition improves.
During treatment, clients experience:
- Individualized treatments
- Medication management
- Intensive group therapy
- Educational classes
- Discharge planning
- Recreational therapy
- ECT — Elective electroconvulsive therapy
Upon completion of our program, clients will be referred to approved care providers near their home who will continue treatment as part of our ongoing mental health service.
Peak View offers both full day and half day treatment options for adolescents and adults. Full day programming is typically referred to as Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and includes up to 30 hours of treatment per week, offered Monday-Friday. Our half day programming is considered an intensive outpatient program (IOP) and offers flexible schedules to include morning, afternoon, or evening options (call for availability). The IOP meets three hours per day, for three or 5 days a week. Outpatient may include the following based on program and client assessment.
- Group therapy
- Evidence based modalities
- Trauma Informed Care
- Art Therapy
- Recreational Therapy
- Physician oversight
- Medication management
- Case Management
- Introduction to community supports and resources
The outpatient program is designed for clients who can independently handle many aspects of their life without round-the-clock monitoring, but who need more intense work beyond standard talk therapy.

Mental health services are available at Peak View in both inpatient (age 13) and outpatient (age 12) settings for adolescents. Led by our highly-trained psychiatrist, our team consists of master’s-level therapists, nurses, and mental health technicians. Following initial assessments, children in a program will begin a treatment plan that includes medication management, a therapeutic living environment, and smooth transition to less intensive levels of care.
Outpatient services are available for adolescents who have graduated from the inpatient program or who do not need the level of care of an inpatient program.
At Peak View, we treat substance use disorder and addiction by treating the whole person. We offer safe and effective withdrawal management (detox) in our inpatient setting. Our medically monitored program uses evidence-based approaches, medical oversight, and harm reduction supports to ensure positive outcomes. We also offer continuing care through our substance use intensive outpatient program for drugs and/or alcohol. Upon or prior to admission, clients will receive a comprehensive assessment by one of our addiction professionals. This will give our staff insight into how best to build a personalized recovery plan. Addiction treatment is different for everyone, and we believe that understanding the reasons that led to the addiction will help us help our clients build resiliency and a long-lasting recovery.
The comprehensive addiction recovery program at Peak View includes:
- Medically monitored detox
- Dual diagnosis (co-occurring) treatment plans
- Intensive outpatient programming for adults
- Relapse prevention
- Discharge planning
At Peak View, we treat all forms of chemical-based addiction, including alcoholism and drug addiction (heroin, opiates, cocaine, meth, prescription drugs, etc.) in a non-judgmental environment.
Learn More
We understand that addiction and mental health issues affect more than just the primary client. The entire family suffers as well, and the home environment often needs to change to promote the client’s long-lasting recovery and wellness. When appropriate, and with the permission of the client, family members may be invited to attend visiting hours, family sessions, and discharge planning while their loved one is in treatment. Educational programming and information, to help the family members better understand how to help their loved ones, may also available.

Day Treatment
Also known as a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), this treatment is designed for individuals with primary psychiatric disorders who require intensive support and structure but not overnight or 24-hour inpatient care. Patients attend five days per week for six hours a day. They can return home in the evening and attend treatment at our facility during the day.
