Our Services

Our mental health program offers clients a wide range of treatment options to fit their level of need and lifestyle. Our inpatient program provides assessment and diagnosis of clients of all ages in crisis situations, followed by inpatient treatment at our facility in Colorado Springs. During inpatient treatment, clients are seen by our psychiatrist-led clinical team who will provide care, support, and medication as necessary. The ultimate goal is moving the client through a series of less intensive treatment levels as their condition improves. During treatment, clients experience:
  • Individualized treatments
  • Medication management
  • Intensive therapy, both in group and individual settings
  • Educational classes
  • Discharge planning
  • Recreational therapy
  • Elective electroconvulsive therapy
Upon completion of our program, clients will be referred to approved care providers near their home who will continue treatment as part of our ongoing mental health service.

Mental health services are available at Peak View in both inpatient and outpatient settings for adolescents as young as 12. Led by our highly-trained psychiatrist, our team consists of master’s-level therapists, nurses, and mental health technicians. Following initial assessments, children in a program will begin a treatment plan that includes medication management, a therapeutic living environment, and smooth transition to less intensive levels of care. Outpatient services are available for adolescents who have graduated from the inpatient program or who do not need the level of care of an inpatient program.

At Peak View, we treat substance use disorder and addiction by treating the whole person. Our medically-monitored program uses evidence-based approaches along with the Hazelden/Betty Ford COR-12 Program for Opioid Dependence. Upon or prior to admission, clients will receive a comprehensive assessment by one of our licensed addiction professionals. This will give our staff insight into how best to build a personalized recovery plan. Addiction treatment is different for everyone, and we believe that understanding the reasons that led to the addiction will help us help our clients build resiliency and a long-lasting recovery. The comprehensive addiction recovery program at Peak View includes:
  • Medically monitored detox
  • Dual diagnosis (co-occurring) treatment plans
  • Intensive outpatient programming for adults
  • Relapse prevention
  • Discharge planning
At Peak View, we treat all forms of chemical-based addiction, including alcoholism and drug addiction (heroin, opiates, cocaine, meth, prescription drugs, etc.) in a non-judgmental environment.

Our Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program (IOP) for substance use helps clients address their substance use and addiction along with any underlying co-occurring mental health concerns, such as anxiety and depression. We strive to help our clients become more like the person they want to be, without using substances to get there. We help clients achieve their goals through flexibility, understanding, and an emphasis on the importance of individual growth.

Our intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization program provides adolescents and adults with treatment options for mental health and addiction use issues that do not require an inpatient setting. The IOP meets three hours per day, for three days a week and includes:
  • Group therapy
  • Physician oversight
  • Medication management
  • Transitional help into productive activities
The outpatient program is designed for clients who can independently handle many aspects of their life without round-the-clock monitoring, but who need more intense work beyond standard talk therapy.

We understand that addiction and mental health issues affect more than just the primary client. The entire family suffers as well, and the home environment often needs to change to promote the client’s long-lasting recovery and wellness. When appropriate, and with the permission of the client, family members are invited to attend visiting hours while their loved one is in treatment. Educational programming, to help the family members better understand how to help their loved ones, is also available.

Peak View Behavioral Health now offers a virtual half-day program (Intensive Outpatient Program) – Momentum. Momentum has been designed to reach our clients in the safety and security of their own home, office, or wherever they may be. This program provides a structured, confidential treatment setting that includes skill-building and processing groups without requiring clients to leave the comfort of their own environment. Telehealth is a growing and effective alternative for those delivering and receiving mental health services, and our program utilizes HIPAA-compliant video and communications technology for safety and privacy.
